Keep: 5 Total Players
2B Ozzie Albies(Atl)- It has been a slow start for Albies at the plate, going 5/36, 1HR, 4BRI, and a .139BA. He will turn it around. Hold on to him.
SS Dansby Swanson(Atl)- Another Brave that is off to a slow start at the plate, going 6/32 with 1HR, 3RBI, and a .188BA. I am still in on Swanson, and you should be too.
RP Jordan Romano(Tor)- I would hold Romano as one of those rare relievers who gets plenty of high leverage work and does well with it. He is a good pitcher, and I would keep him.
RP Devin Williams(Mil)- I know you are scared by the 10.80ERA and 3K-2B in 1.2IP this season. Just chill and relax for now. He is in year two, has great expectations. He will turn it around quickly.
C Sean Murphy(Oak)- In his 18AB, he has 1H, 1RBI, and a .056BA. He hasn't played enough to gauge where he is at. He is rostered in 35.2% of leagues. He was dropped in -12.8. Suppose you can find another option to start. I would bench Murphy for now.
Add: Position Players
2B/DH Ty France(Sea)- France is an on-base machine. The young 2B is a quality hitter. Starting the season 11/34 with 1HR, 4RBI, and a .324BA. He is rostered in 49.6% of leagues and has been added recently in +13.5% of them.
OF Akil Baddoo(Det)- If you are still sleeping on Baddoo, why? He has started the season in his limited PT 5/16 with 2HR, 7BRI, and a .313BA. He is rostered in 59.5% of leagues and has been picked up +58.1% of leagues.
OF Adam Eaton(CHW)- Eaton is off to a solid start to the season, going 8/31 at the plate with 9R, 2HR, 7RBI, and 1SB, and a .258BA. If you need OF help. Eaton is a reliable outlet. He is rostered in 44.6% of leagues and has been added in 16.8%.
SS Andrelton Simmons(Min)- If you need a reliable person to get on base and help your team's BA, it's Simmons. He's started the season 10/27 with a .370BA, 0HR and 3RBI. He is rostered in 27.4% of leagues and has been added in +20.1% of leagues.
2B Luis Arraez(Min)- Another solid option to help you get your team's BA back out from the dumps. With a good start at the plate going 10/28 with 6R, 1HR, 5RBI, and a .357BA, he would be a solid addition.
I would consider a couple more guys. I would consider 3B Phillip Evans, 2B Zach McKinstry, 3B Eduardo Escobar.
Drop: Position Players
OF Ian Happ(CHC)- Happ has started the season 4/25 with a .160BA. He is still owned in 90.5% of leagues. He has been dropped in -1.9% of leagues.
OF/1B Ryan Mountcastle(Bal)- I have no been impressed with Mountcastle thus far into the season with his 7/38, 1HR, 5RBI, and .184BA. HOWEVER, the O's will continue to give him every chance, and maybe things will come around. He is rostered in 86% of leagues and has been dropped in -1.3%
OF Clint Frazier(NYY)- Frazier was given the LF job's keys early in spring and played well in ST. Since the season opened, he is only 5/25, 0HR, 0RBI, .200BA. He is owned in 69.7% of leagues and has been dropped in -5.6% of leagues.
DH Jorge Soler(KCR)- Despite the strong showing in ST, there has been 0 Soler power this season. He is 3/23 with 1HR, 2RBI, and a .130BA. He is rostered in 75.1% of leagues and has been dropped in -7.3% of leagues.
3B Brian Anderson(MIA)- I have always been a fan of Anderson, and the talent has always been there. He has started the season 4/25 with 0HR, 0RBI, and a .160BA. He is rostered in 44.4% of leagues and has been dropped in -8.3% of leagues.
1B Andrew Vaughn(CHW)- He has started the season off 2/14 with a .143BA. He has missed many opportunities due to being on the bench and Yermin Mercedes taking control of the DH spot from him. He has been dropped in -16.5% of leagues and is only still rostered in 49.7% of leagues.
Add: Pitchers
SP Steven Matz(TOR)- Matz has looked excellent in his first two starts, with the Jay's throwing 12.1IP with 13K-4BB and a 1.46ERA. He is currently rostered in 58.6% of leagues and has been added +55.3% of leagues.
SP/RP Julian Merryweather(Tor)- Merryweather has filled the Kirby Yates role for the Blue Jays. 4IP, 7K-1BB, 2SV and a 0.00ERA. Not too bad. He is getting picked up everywhere super quickly, so go and grab him right now! 58% rostered, and he's been added in +51.5% of leagues.
SP Carlos Rodon(CHW)- He started the season with a strong 5IP against the Mariners with 9K-3BB. His next start will come against the Royals.
RP Alex Reyes(Stl)- Reyes has also been off to a strong start this season. 4.1IP, 3K-2BB, 3SV and a 0.00ERA. If you need a good closer, get them early. He has been picked up 38.9% of leagues and is rostered in 54.9% of leagues.
RP Mark Melancon(SDP)- Melancon has been as hot as a pen arm this season. With 6IP, 5K-0BB, 5SV, and a 0.00ERA. He is now rostered in 83.9% of leagues and added 33.5% within the last week. Go and see if you can steal him off waivers.
Drop: Pitchers
It would be best to drop the injured you drafted: SP James Paxton, RP Trevor Rosenthal, RP Joakim Soria. It would be best if you also dropped a guy who was optioned in SP Domingo German. Do not waste your IL spots on these guys.
I would also drop
SP Marco Gonzalez(Sea)- He is purely a matchup play at this point and waits until he gets hot.
RP Greg Holland(KCR)- With the 5BB and a 6.00ERA over 3IP. I would drop him.
RP Anthony Bass(Mia)- The 23.14ERA over 2.1IP is a testament to the regression of the 2020 cinderella Marlins.
